Ammonium Bifluoride is white crystalline solid. It is corrosive and can corrode most metals. It is not flammable or explosive. Ammonium bifluoride will react with water to form hydrofluoric acid. Ammonium bifluoride is used for cleaning and etching of metals before they are further processed. It is used as an oil well acidifier and in the etching of glass or cleaning of brick and ceramics. It may also be used for pH adjustment in industrial textile processing or laundries.

Butyl acetate (C6H12O2), also known as butyl ethanoate is an ester which is a colorless flammable liquid at room temperature. Butyl acetate is found in many types of fruit, where along with other chemicals it imparts characteristic flavors and has a sweet smell of banana or apple. It is used as a synthetic fruit flavoring in foods such as candy, ice cream, cheeses, and baked goods. Butyl acetate is often used as a high-boiling solvent of moderate polarity.

Limescale is the hard, off-white, chalky deposit found in kettles, hot-water boilers, tiles, washing machine, toilet, sinks and the inside of inadequately maintained hot-water central heating systems. It is formed when dissolved salts present in hard water come out of solution as the water evaporates. A major component is calcium carbonate which comes from limestone. Limestone is mainly calcium carbonate (CaCO3), which is almost insoluble in pure water, but rainwater naturally contains dissolved carbon dioxide which makes it acidic.
